Terms of Use
The terms on which the app and its subscription are used: Apple’s standard licence agreement, and how Pro works.
The app’s licence
Terza Torre is used under the terms of Apple’s standard licence agreement for Mac App Store apps, the Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“standard EULA”). There is no extra agreement of ours: that one applies, in the text Apple publishes on its site: Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
In short, without replacing it:
- the app is licensed to you, not sold: the licence is yours and cannot be transferred to others;
- you can use it on the Macs you own or control, according to the Mac App Store’s usage rules;
- you cannot copy, modify, decompile or resell it, except where the law allows it;
- the app is provided as it is: the warranties and the liability are those the agreement states, within what the law of your country allows.
The Terza Torre Pro subscription
The free version does not expire, has no limit on the games it can handle, and importing and exporting PGN are always free. Pro adds the features listed on the Terza Torre Pro page, with a subscription bought in the app, from the Terza Torre Pro window.
- Apple sells it and collects the payment, on your Apple Account, like any Mac App Store purchase: the developer does not see your payment details. The price is the one the window shows before you confirm, in your country’s currency.
- The free trial. Anyone who has not had it yet can try Pro free: the window says for how long. At the end of the trial the subscription starts by itself and is paid for, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before.
- Renewal. The subscription renews by itself when it expires, until you cancel it. The Terza Torre Pro window says when it renews.
- How to cancel, at least a day before the renewal: in the App Store click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then your name again, Subscriptions, Terza Torre Pro and Cancel Subscription. From the app you get there with Manage subscription, in the Terza Torre Pro window. Apple explains it in Cancel a subscription from Apple.
- After cancelling, Pro stays active until the end of the period already paid for, and the window says until when. Then the app goes back to the free version: what you did with Pro stays in the archive and becomes usable again if you resume the subscription.
- Refunds are decided by Apple, and are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com: Request a refund for apps or content you’ve bought from Apple.
The developer
Terza Torre is developed by Mirko Leardini, in the Republic of San Marino, who sells it on the Mac App Store. For a question about these terms write to support@terzatorre.app.
